Hello everyone!
If your eye is red, swollen, and crusty, you might be using a combination treatment like CD Eye 5 gm. This ointment is a "two-in-one" solution that handles both the infection and the discomfort at the same time.
Why use a combination ointment?
Standard drops often only do one job. This formula is different because it contains:
An Antibiotic: To kill the bacteria causing the infection.
A Steroid: To quickly stop the itching, redness, and painful swelling.
The Result: You feel better faster because the steroid calms the eye while the antibiotic clears the germs.
3 Simple Steps to Apply
Step 1: Wash your hands. Pull down your lower eyelid to make a small "pocket."
Step 2: Squeeze a tiny ribbon (about the size of a grain of rice) into that pocket. Do not let the tube touch your eye.
Step 3: Close your eye and blink slowly to spread the medicine.
Important Things to Remember
Blurry Vision: Because it is a thick ointment, your vision will be blurry for 5–10 minutes. It is usually best to apply it right before bed.
No Contacts: Don’t wear contact lenses until your infection is completely gone and you’ve finished the treatment.
Finish the Tube: Keep using it for as many days as directed, even if your eye looks better after the first day!
Has anyone else used this for a "stuck-shut" eye in the morning? How long did it take for the swelling to go down?
