Effective on designs acquired on or after 12/01/2023, the drive system (including the motor assembly, real estate cover, internal equipments, motor control unit assembly, drive axle assembly, and torque sensor assembly), battery, rigid frame, and stiff front fork will be warranted for a duration of five (5) years from the Date of Purchase, subject to exemptions noted herein. All other Yamaha Power Assist Bicycle parts, unless specifically excluded hereunder, will be required against defects in material or craftsmanship, for a period of one (1) year from the Date of Purchase, subject to exclusions kept in mind herein. Replacement parts utilized in warranty repair work will be necessitated for the balance of the suitable warranty period.

Obtaining Repairs Under Warranty. During the period of service warranty, any authorized Power Assist Bicycles dealership will, totally free of charge, repair work or replace, at Yamaha's alternative, any parts determined defective by Yamaha due to malfunctioning workmanship or product from the factory.

Owner's Responsibility. The owner is responsible for ensuring that the Power Assist Bicycle is properly operated, preserved and stored as specified in the Owner's Manual. The owner of the Power Assist Bicycle should alert a licensed Yamaha Power Assist Bicycles dealership of any and all evident flaws within ten (10) days of discovery and make the bicycle readily available at that time for evaluation and repair work at the dealership's business.

General Exclusions From Warranty. This warranty will not cover the repair of damage if the damage is a result of abuse or overlook of the item. Examples of abuse and disregard include, but are not restricted to: 1. Racing or competition use, adjustment of initial parts, unusual strain. 2. Lack of correct maintenance as described in the Owner's Manual, setup of parts or devices that are not equivalent in design and quality to real Yamaha parts. 3. Use of lubes that are not suitable for Power Assist Bicycle usage. 4. Damage as an outcome of accidents, collisions, roadway threats, or operation on surfaces, such as stairs, not planned for conventional bike usage; damage from external factors such as salt air or saltwater, bird droppings, or chemicals. 5. Commercial applications, such as transporting freight, delivering newspapers, and bicycle rentals. 6. Temporary reduction in power or range that can be traveled on a single battery charge, as explained in the Owner's Manual, due to running conditions such as ambient temperatures, load, inclines, frequent beginning and stopping, and regular system-protection functions, in addition to temperature-related performance of the battery charger. 7. Normal wear and tear, consisting of the gradual decrease of battery capacity over the five (5) year service warranty period as long as the battery capability is still 50% or more of the initial capacity before the warranty expiration and the total number of battery charging cycles is 700 or less. Other typical deterioration includes natural fading of painted or plated surfaces, and cosmetic ozone or weather condition breaking in tires.

Specific Parts Excluded From Warranty. Parts changed due to typical wear or routine maintenance such as tires, tubes, cable televisions, grips, brake pads, baskets, pedals, fuses, spokes, lenses, light bulbs, springs, chains, packaging, and the sprocket and stress assembly of the torque sensor.
