Optimizing Masonry Galleries for All Image Orientations
I recently set up a masonry gallery where all my images are sized 1500x1000. While portrait images look perfect in the lightbox, landscape images seem smaller and don’t scale as expected. I haven’t applied any custom classes to the images or masonry bricks, so it’s puzzling why this happens. I’ve been reading about how layout scripts calculate the height and width of bricks differently depending on the orientation, and it seems like some galleries may need additional settings to handle landscape images properly.
